Clan Vs Clan Legendary Farming Competition (NA & EU) - Weekly, Starting Saturday 26th April
Want to boast your clans farming efficiency or OP synergy? Is your RNG insane? looking for something a little competitive to do in lieu of the first major content patch?...
Some of you may remember me from streaming D3V last year, I took part in many (15+) farming competitions and always said that it was the best fun to be had in D3. Now that the majority of us regular players (and no-lifers) have, at the least, decent gear and people have come up with some interesting builds and team synergies I think its time to get to some farming under pressure and showcase our clans.
If this fails to gain momentum or doesn't really take off, Im fine with that but its definitely worth a shot.
Here are the competition details and rules that I've come up with so far. I am open to suggestions but cannot guarantee that all will be implemented. I am also looking for some help on the NA side with respect to admin etc (I am on EU)
Details:
1. A Clan Vs Clan only 6 hour Rift Legendary farming competition. Current intent is for it to take place weekly at the same day/time slot.
2. The most Legendries per team wins (currently only for bragging rights).
3. Competition start: Saturday 26th April @ 8am PDT / 11am EDT / 4pm BST / 5pm CET.
4. Competition end: Saturday 26th April @ 2pm PDT / 5pm EDT / 10pm BST / 11pm CET.
5. This competition will be open to any clan however initially I think a limit of 10-12 teams per server region (EU / NA) is all we can handle from an admin POV. If it really takes off and I can get more support from the admin side we could expand to accommodate more.
6. Google doc's will be created with full weekly rankings and statistics - clan v clan, NA v EU etc (I could do with suggestions and/or help with this offers??)
7. A separate Google doc will be used as a score card overlay (Legendary counter) within the stream
Rules:
1. A team must consist of 4 persons from the same clan.
2. The same 4 persons are required to farm for the full 6 hours, no swapping team members.
3. A twitch.tv stream site must be set-up for the clan.
4. Only one stream per clan per event.
Already established streamers are welcome to participate; however they must be streaming off of a clan stream and are representing the clan and not themselves. The idea behind all of this is to build clan rivalry and allow the streamer and indeed the participants within the clan to change each week if required.
5. The team must be joined in a chat room (TS, RC, Mumble, Skype etc). Viewers will want to hear the team interact / talk - this also makes life a lot easier when updating the scorecard.
6. The team must be able to farm on Torment III or higher.
The majority of viewers will want to watch something challenging / interesting. Charging through t1 & t2 is boring as hell - unless of course your team does the full clear using thorns only ;).
7. Crafting materials and plans do NOT count; Legendary and Set items count equally (as 1 item).
8. New steams must be test streamed prior to the competition start. If you are not fully ready as soon as we start youre out.
9. Lastly - > Honesty is the only way a competition like this can work, nothing else to say here.
Speak to your clan mates; if youre interested please send me a PM with the following info:
1) Server EU or NA:
2) Clan Abbreviation and Name:
3) Clan Twitch Stream Page Address:
4) Main Contact Battle tag:
5) Confirm you and your team can all comfortably farm T3 +, you are all available during the given times on Saturday and that you have a means of clan communication.
When I have a moment (after work), I will add all entries to a Google doc and provide a link for all to see. I will also edit this page adding the name of the new community that we can use to arrange further details.
